The Sprinkler Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, repair, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential properties. This role ensures all work is completed to NFPA standards and local code requirements, working closely with clients and team members to maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, test, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential properties.
• Install fire sprinkler systems according to project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Assemble and secure pipes, valves, fittings, and other components of the fire sprinkler system.
• Connect fire sprinkler system components to water supply lines and fire suppression equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair system issues to meet NFPA standards.
• Conduct service calls, system tests, and repairs, documenting any deficiencies identified during inspections.
• Program and validate operating systems according to client specifications using manufacturer’s codes.
• Work closely with clients and team members to ensure safety and compliance.
• Train less experienced technicians and clients as necessary.
• Utilize a pre-planned schedule to ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner.
• Perform fire sprinkler inspections and repairs as trained and instructed by management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience in fire sprinkler installation and maintenance; NICET (or equivalent) certification a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with various types of fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems & CPVC.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the fire sprinkler industry.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and safety regulations.
• FASA/BASA or other state-required certificate/licensure preferred.
• Certification in Testing and Inspecting of Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Systems preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, meeting all insurance carrier requirements.
• Ability to operate common tools of the trade, including a pipe threading machine.
• Physical stamina to perform laborious, strenuous work for extended hours.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or possess documentation authorizing legal employment in the United States.

Must be willing to pass a background check and drug screening.
