The Sprinkler Inspector is responsible for testing and inspecting fire sprinkler systems and other life safety devices at client sites, in accordance with NFPA 25 & 72 standards and schedules. This role requires a highly motivated, responsible, and coachable individual who is willing to be guided while inspecting commercial fire alarm systems as well as fire sprinkler systems, ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Travel to client sites to test and inspect fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and other life safety devices, in accordance with NFPA schedules and guidelines.
• Perform routine inspections and testing of life safety devices from multiple manufacturers’ product lines.
• Follow company policies and procedures to complete jobs in a satisfactory and timely manner.
• Organize and effectively utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to assure efficient execution of all assigned tasks.
• Work with low-voltage devices for the operation of low-voltage equipment.
• Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documentation via laptop computer and iPhone.
• Meet client expectations while performing quality inspections in a timely manner.
• Complete assigned inspections on time and in a professional manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the life safety field.
• Knowledge of fire alarm systems and components.
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications helpful.
• Experience with hand tools.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Must be able to work on lifts and ladders.
• NICET or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Must be dependable, highly motivated, and possess excellent communication skills.
• Must be willing to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or possess documentation authorizing legal employment in the United States.
